Welcome to our family-owned winery and distillery where we craft exceptional wines and spirits through the creative application of traditional techniques. Nestled in the heart of Lyra’s picturesque landscape, our vineyard and winery are being established that will reflect our deep commitment to quality and craftsmanship. On the farm we will produce wines from a range of popular and lesser known grape varieties with flavours that capture the essence of the region. In addition to our winery, we operate a boutique gin distillery in Brisbane, where we craft artisanal spirits with a unique blend of botanicals. We cherish the opportunity to share a little Joie de vivre with you, whether you’re exploring our wines from Lyra or savouring our gins made in Brisbane.

The creation of New Tricks has come about as a result of a family passion for getting together with friends and family to share good food and wine. Now we seek to create extraordinary places that enable just that. Places that might appeal across generations and that are simply happy spaces.

Our family Labrador Baxter who lived to be 17 years old and was always such an enthusiastic participant at so many of our happy times, has come to symbolise those ideals of togetherness and fun that are so important to us.
